Gas more expensive again in December

Energy bills are likely to be higher in December. Gas prices have been sharply higher for some time. This is now also due to the war in Israel and the tension in that region. Since Hamas' attacks on Israel, gas prices have risen by 30%. This is because Israel no longer exports gas to Egypt. This while Egypt had planned to export gas imports to Europe after the summer.
Europe is currently very dependent on gas supplies from countries other than Russia, as Europe tries to reduce its dependence on Russia. In addition, Ukraine has reported that it no longer wants to export gas supplies from Russia via Ukraine by 2025. This again brings uncertainty to the gas market.
