Request a quoteWant to know when a floor-standing unit suits better than a wall-mounted unit, or what Mitsubishi Heavy Industries floor-standing units have to offer? Here are the key points.
A floor-standing air conditioner is the better choice in a number of specific situations. With large windows or glass façades that run down to the floor, there is not enough free wall space high enough for a wall-mounted unit. In period properties or characterful interiors, drilling through walls is undesirable or not possible. A floor-standing unit placed under a large window blows warm air upwards along the glass, which greatly reduces draughts and the cold-downdraught effect. In addition, the unit sits at eye level and is therefore easy to operate without a remote control.
Still unsure whether a floor-standing unit suits your situation? Read the comparison on our blog: floor-standing or wall-mounted air conditioner.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries floor-standing units combine quiet, energy-efficient climate control with low placement on the floor. The air is blown both upwards and forwards for an even temperature throughout the room. The noise level is low, which also makes the floor-standing units suitable for bedrooms and home offices. With a high energy label, the Mitsubishi floor-standing units offer excellent efficiency all year round, even at low outdoor temperatures. WiFi is available for control via the MELCloud app, including remotely. The Mitsubishi Heavy Industries floor-standing units are available at Aircobrabant in 2.5 kW (up to approx. 20 m²) and 3.5 kW (up to approx. 35 m²).
With a floor-standing unit, no wall drilling is needed for the indoor unit itself because the unit stands freely on the floor. The pipework to the outdoor unit usually runs out through the skirting board, floor or a side wall. Aircobrabant carries out the complete installation, from survey and advice to fitting and commissioning. You always get a fixed price upfront, including pipework and brackets.
A floor-standing unit is the better choice with large windows or glass façades that run down to the floor, in period properties where wall drilling is undesirable, or to reduce cold radiation near windows. A wall-mounted unit is more compact and less visible, but always needs free wall space high up in the room.
Aircobrabant supplies Mitsubishi Heavy Industries floor-standing air conditioners in 2.5 and 3.5 kW. That makes the models suitable for rooms up to approx. 35 m². See the product grid at the top for the current range.
Yes. All Mitsubishi Heavy Industries floor-standing units in our range are air-to-air heat pumps that both cool and heat. The warm air rises along the window, which provides even heating similar to a radiator but with much higher efficiency.
